First Tee-Quad Cities offers programs and instruction which focus on developing life skills using the game of golf as its vehicle.
Each session consists of six life skills modules, and every module contains a “core” lesson that all participants must be exposed to. The core lessons are suitable for delivery to their age group. In addition, the each module includes optional activities. Some give participants additional practice in the core life skills; some are designed for participants 12 and older; others deal with the application of life skills to non-golf situations at home or school.First
On the Golf Course
Junior golf is just part of First Tee. Through our program that strengthens character, kids will learn life skills that stay with them into the rest of their lives, like:
- Understanding and managing emotions
- Resolving conflicts
- Setting up step-by-step goals
- Planning for the future
- Appreciating diversity
Advancing through the Program
Participants progress through our program not only by age but by demonstrating inner strength, character, and the life and golf skills they have learned.
