Full Circle Allie Miller started The First Tee Program at nine years of age. Allie progressed through the Par, Birdie and Eagle levels. At North High she was the number one player on the girls team. Allie went on to play college golf at Central College, Pella Iowa and was captain her junior and senior years. Allie helped coach golf while receiving her masters degree in sports psychology from Miami of Ohio University. Her ambition is to become a college golf coach and is honing her skills helping with The First Tee program at Red Hawk. ———————————————————————————————— The First Tee of Quad Cities recently introduced The National School Program to become part of the curriculum in Bettendorf, North Scott, Rock Island- Milan and the Parochial schools in Illinois. This investment of over fifty thousand dollars enables the trained P.E. teachers to introduce golf and its “9 core values” to all juniors in grades K thru 5th. This follows the success of the program already being used in the Davenport and Moline grade schools Spring Class Registration Friday March 20th Summer / Late Summer Class Registration Friday May 8th Call (563) 386-0348 ——————————————————————— Welcome Back George Qian a former First Tee Student is coming back this summer as a volunteer with the First Tee at Redhawk George just completed his 2nd year at Carnegie Mellon U. in Pittsburgh. He is Majoring in Finance and Computer Science. George Finished second in the 2014 Iowa Amateur Played at Univ. of Iowa Finkbine Course.
